Episode List for Tony Hancock Radio and TV Shows


This page tries to be as complete and accurate as possible, listing all UK first broadcasts of the radio and television series made by Tony Hancock.
If you have good quality copies of the shows marked as "poor quality" - or any copies of the shows listed as "missing" please would you send an e mail to me or contact the BBC or the Tony Hancock Appreciation Society. You could receive payment for your good taste in keeping these shows.
Tony made TV shows for the BBC, and for two commercial tv companies, Associated Rediffusion and ATV. TV titles were sometimes lengthy and have been shortened in a few cases. Some of the radio shows were rerecorded for the BBC Transcription Service or for commercial release on records.
TV and Radio shows are listed together in the order of first broadcast.
I have not listed shows re-edited for later broadcast or commercial tape release - many shows had the odd word or sentence cut from later rebroadcasts, as the slot available shrank from the original 30 minutes to 27 minutes or less.
