Emulator users can enjoy several disks of Stainless Software programs.
Previous page go to next page Stainless Software was a computer software publishing business operated in the United Kingdom by Stephen Shaw from 1982 to 1985, catering only for the Texas Instruments TI99/4a Home Computer.
This web page exists to record the many items of software that Stainless sold for the TI99/4a, mostly on cassette tape.

From Page 7 onwards these web pages detail software programs for the TI99/4a formerly sold by Stainless Software from 1982, which failed to be retained in the final 1985 catalogue, which is on Pages 1 to 6.

screen image of program SPRING HEELED JACK in EXTENDED BASIC by Graham Marshall Read the Review
One of those simple but habituating games...from the bottom of the screen, jump to the top.
The screen contains horizontal lines, and in these are moving holes, through which you must jump (or if careless, fall).
Nice use of sprite graphics. Difficulty increases with each screen of course!
GBP 6.00
[Based upon a Spectrum 1983 game by Albert Ball called "Jumping Jack"(Imagine). Graham made it harder- in the original you had to fall all the way to the bottom to die].
MR FROG in EXTENDED BASIC. Read the review

QUADRABLITZ in TI BASIC by P J Akers Read the review
Based on the 'original' pinball game of Bagatelle, this program has four variations for one to five plavers to try their skill with.
Each round consists of shooting five balls, and for each ball, the player selects the position of a deflector and the strength of the shot.
The order in which the obstacles are hit is important as well as actually hitting the obstacles, as in some variations. hitting an obstacle removes it from play.

screen image of program TROGMAN in TI BASIC by DCR SOFTWARE Read the review
A primitive form of a dot eating maze game... Played on a field of dots in which are placed random obstacles and bonus shapes. You must amass as high a score as possible. In pursuit are a few creatures you must avoid. When the going gets too tough you can move to the next level by hitting the bolt hole (if you can reach it).
As levels increase, so does the possibility of the creatures lurking underneath an obstacle or even passing through one! Joysticks optional.

screen image of program BEETLE in TI BASIC by M.Christmas Read the Review
An unusual two screen game for one player.
First you must build up your strength by eating beetle food, and bury beetle eggs in the next level down. There are spiders to watch out for, and do not forget the gronk.
If you make it to screen two, you must push eggs into a beetle nest and seal the eggs and yourself into it.
Then you discover if one of the eggs is male and one female. And watch out for the gronk... A manipulative game with several levels of difficulty, requiring quick decisions to be made. Cavern layout different every run.
